Internship Policy

Futureys offers a structured internship programme for university students and recent graduates seeking practical experience in software development, AI, web and mobile development, digital marketing, and related IT fields.

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5 preferred, with exceptional portfolio-based candidates considered.
• Basic knowledge of relevant stacks such as React, Flutter, Python, WordPress, or SEO tools.
• Availability for the full agreed internship duration, minimum 3 months.
• Open to students from universities and higher education institutions in Sri Lanka.

Software Dev

React, Node.js, Flutter, Laravel, Python, and REST APIs.

AI & Automation

Chatbot development, ML basics, AI integration, and automation scripting.

Web Design

UI/UX design, Figma, Tailwind CSS, WordPress, and branding.

Digital Marketing

SEO, social media, content creation, Google Ads, and analytics.

Cloud & DevOps

AWS, Linux, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment basics.

Duration

Minimum 3 months; maximum 6 months, extendable by agreement.

Hours

Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, with flexibility for part-time university students.

Mode

In-office at assigned branch; hybrid after first month with supervisor approval.

Start Dates

Rolling intake subject to team availability.

IT / Dev Interns

LKR 10,000-20,000 per month based on skills and performance.

Digital Marketing

LKR 8,000-15,000 per month.

Performance Bonus

Up to LKR 5,000 for outstanding interns at programme end.

Allowances are paid on the 25th of each month. Interns are responsible for their own transport and meals unless otherwise stated.

Week 1-2: Induction

Company orientation, team and mentor introduction, development environment setup, account access, and project context.

Month 1: Foundation

Real team tasks under mentor supervision, weekly one-on-one check-ins, and access to learning resources.

Month 2-3+: Independent Contribution

Ownership of a defined module, feature, or campaign; team ceremonies; work reviews; mid-programme progress presentation; final report or demo.

Intern Rights

Clear tasks, regular mentoring, respectful work environment, access to tools and learning resources, completion certificate, and LinkedIn recommendation for high performers.

Intern Responsibilities

Attend punctually, notify absences in advance, complete tasks by deadlines, maintain confidentiality, protect credentials, behave professionally, and submit final report or presentation.

All work produced by interns during the programme is the intellectual property of Futureys. Interns must sign an NDA before commencing work.

• Interns may reference work in a portfolio or CV only with written approval.
• Source code, client data, and business strategies must not be copied to personal devices or shared externally.
• Confidentiality obligations continue for 2 years after internship ends.
• High-performing interns are strongly considered for full-time positions where business need and budget allow.

Either Futureys or the intern may end the internship with 1 week written notice. Futureys may terminate immediately for confidentiality breach, repeated failure to attend or complete tasks, misconduct, dishonesty, policy violation, or misrepresentation of qualifications.
